Assignment: We're looking for one writer for each of the following 20 categories listed below. These writers will be writing for HolyShnikes.com an online rant and rave site which gets over 5,000 visits per day and was named "Hot Site" by Askmen.com. The main traffic driver for HolyShnikes is via SEO, meaning people who search on google and come across our articles. We're looking for writers that can produce a high volume of SEO friendly English language articles averaging 150-200 words per article, with excellent grammar and spelling. We are modeling our categories after popular magazines and looking for writers to get a copy of a designated magazine we choose (reimbursed) and write brief but original articles based upon the the hot topics featured in the current issue of the designated magazine. For example. If you were our automotive writer, we would pay you to buy a copy of car and driver and to write about the featured topics in car and driver such as in this months copy the Audi RS4, Mercedes c63, etc. The articles have to have an opinion one way or the other, "this rocks" or "this blows" and be interesting for readers to read. Car and Driver thinks the Audi RS4 rocks and based on their review I quickly wrote an example article (under 5 minutes): http://www.holyshnikes.com/p/Audi-RS-Verdict/2900. To apply: As we look to bring on writers from around the world, our simple test is for you to tell us which category you would like to write and how many 150-200 word articles based on popular topics featured in the magazine designated for your category would you agree to write for an initial $50, we're looking for high volume. All writers will go to http;//www.holyshnikes.com (use the SF Bay Area default location) and post their articles directly on the site. Make sure to create a simple username when you post your articles so we can track your progress.
To be considered for this position: please post a sample article 150-200 words in length on www.holyshnikes.com based on the category of your interest. We're not looking to get free content, trust me, but looking to quickly screen prospective writers before agreeing to a $50 test per writer. Feel free to delete your sample article if you are not chosen as a paid writer. After posting your sample article on holyshnikes (create a simple username), please mention your username on elance when you bid on this project so we can review your sample article as we make final decisions. We will choose up to 20 writers by friday of next week to start on the $50 tests.
